The Boredom of Hospital
Drip, drip, drip from a clear plastic sac
Drip, drip, drip to a cannula in the hand
Drip, slide, drip, coursing along the veins
Drip, drip, drip, a leaky showerhead
Drip, clip, drip, a constant confabulation
Drip, drip, drip from drizzle on the pane
Drip, flood, drip - someone needs the commode
Thank God I am home

Thank you for your comments. Yes, the poem is about me. All the best poems are about me, LOL. I haven’t lost my sense of humor (yet). Everything about my hospital stay was like Chinese water torture x 1000.

Thank you for visiting and commiserating with my situation. Congratulations on achieving your doctorate and joining the throng of angels working in hospitals.

Coral
